Why people aren't breaking free from binge eating and action plans

I wanted to share with you some main reasons why people aren't breaking free from binge eating today.

  • Their focus goes to food

  • They go all or nothing

  • They rely on strong will power

  • They don't pay attention to their inner self

So, what happens is that they go on an extreme diet ("never eating cookies again!") with a strong determination.

Feeling deprived after a few days so much (on top of stress in life!), they eat a cookie and due to the 'black or white thinking', they feel they fell off a wagon and give up. Binge on the whole package of cookies).

They blame on their will power and cookies ("wish you never existed Oreos", anyone?). Feeling so stressed and disappointed in them, to feel better, they eat again.

How do I know this? This was me for a long time. This was the time I relied on 'all the resources' OUT there. This was the time I NEVER looked WITHIN. Now that I've broken free from binge/emotional eating, and seeing others do the same, I can show you the successful cycle. Its key is...Focus on WITHIN, and it looks like...

  • Add more whole foods and have alternative food to stay in abundant mode all the time

  • Do more self-acceptance work & Ditch co-dependency/victim mentality
